Welcome to Precogni. By downloading or using our application, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please review them carefully.

1. The Service

Precogni provides a desktop-based, screen-aware AI assistant. Our application uses third-party Artificial Intelligence processors (OpenAI) to provide context-specific help based on your screen content, text input, and voice input.

2. Eligibility and Alpha Status

Precogni is currently in Alpha development. You acknowledge that the software may contain bugs or errors. Use of the software is at your own risk. The service is provided "as is" and "as available."

3. Subscriptions, Credits, and Payments

• Free Tier: New users are granted a limited one-time allocation of free AI usage credits. Once exhausted, a subscription is required to continue using AI features.
• Plus Plan: A monthly subscription provides an expanded credit allocation. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe and will automatically renew until cancelled.
• Usage Limits: Usage is tracked based on actual AI processing costs. If your credit balance reaches zero, the application will enter a read-only state until your usage resets.

4. Appropriate Use of AI

You agree not to use Precogni for any illegal or harmful purposes. You are responsible for ensuring that the data processed by Precogni (including your screen content) does not violate any third-party privacy or intellectual property rights. Precogni is not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated responses.

5. Disclaimer of Warranty

Precogni makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of information generated by the AI. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Precogni be liable for any damages arising out of the use or inability to use the software, including but not limited to data loss, financial loss, or inaccuracies in AI output.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of the application following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
