Precogni ("we," "us," or "our") provides a desktop-based, screen-aware AI assistant. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application and our services at precogniai.com.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you sign in via Google OAuth or Email, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture URL.
- Screen Data (Volatile): When "Screen Awareness" is enabled, the application captures snapshots of your screen to provide visual context for the AI. These snapshots are processed in real-time and are never permanently stored on our servers.
- Voice and Audio: In Voice Mode, audio is captured and transcribed into text. Raw audio files are deleted from temporary storage immediately after transcription is complete.
- Chat history: We store your text-based conversations within our secure database so you can access your history across sessions.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your identity and manage your user profile.
- To provide context-aware AI responses based on your active screen content or voice input.
- To manage your subscription, credits, and billing via Stripe.
- To maintain the security and technical integrity of the application.
3. Google API Disclosure (Limited Use)
Precogni’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not use Google user data to serve advertisements, nor do we sell your personal information to third-party data brokers or researchers.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
To provide our services, we share limited data with the following trusted third-party processors:
- Supabase: For secure authentication, database management, and API proxying.
- AI Processors (OpenAI): To process text generation, analyze screen context (Vision), and perform speech-to-text transcription (Whisper). Data sent to OpenAI via the API is not used for model training.
- Stripe: For secure payment processing and subscription management.
5. Data Security & Retention
We implement industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) to protect your data in transit. Visual and audio data used for AI context are considered "volatile" and are deleted immediately after processing. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the application settings.
